Brandie J. Bartlett is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist practicing in Prince William County, Virginia and Washington, DC.

Dr. Bartlett conducts broad developmental, psychological, and psychoeducational assessments with children (as young as age 2), adolescents, and adults. Dr. Bartlett is experienced in the evaluation and treatment of a variety of clinical concerns, including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities, and learning disabilities, mood disorders, and anxiety. Dr. Bartlett also offers forensic evaluation services in legal matters related to family law, criminal law, and immigration matters.

 

Developmental Assessment/ Comprehensive Autism Evaluation

Developmental assessments can help to identify cognitive and adaptive deficits (e.g., Intellectual Disabilities), as well as deficits in social-emotional development (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), including High Functioning Autism formerly known as Asperger’s syndrome) that impair the functioning of children and adults across the domains of home, school, work, and social/community environments.

Psychological and Neuropsychological Testing
Psychological and neuropsychological testing and evaluation consists of a clinical interview and a series of tests that help determine the cause of psychological and cognitive symptoms and disorders, to determine the correct diagnosis and follow up with the appropriate course of treatment. 

Forensic Evaluation

Dr. Bartlett has diverse expertise and experience assisting attorneys and Courts with evaluations in legal matters.  Dr. Bartlett relies on multiple sources of information, such as tests of personality and behavior, tests of ability or intelligence, clinical and collateral interviews, available records/data sets, and extensive research, in order to provide reports and testimony that are thorough, accurate, and useful.  Dr. Bartlett offers an variety of forensic evaluation services. 

Psychoeducational Testing

Psychoeducational evaluation examines the possibility of specific learning disabilities (e.g., in reading, writing, and/or math), cognitive development, and executive functioning. Educational evaluations can also be useful in determine academic giftedness.
