Centra Autism In-Home Program provides EPSDT Behavior Therapy (ABA) to children up to age 21. Our program is based on Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior, and utilizes person-centered & evidence-based practices.
The program is overseen by a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA), and services are provided by ABA counselors who are trained in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and specific ABA techniques. Individual Support Plans are developed to address each child’s needs based on assessment by the BCBA and input from the individual, family, counselor and other professionals.
The program plan focuses on development of skills in the areas of:
Communication
Socialization
Adaptive/independent living skills
Behavior reduction and replacement behaviors
Parent training
Case management
Services are provided in the home and in community settings in order to generalize skills. A focus is on parent training, so that the parents will become skilled in responding to their child’s behaviors effectively and increase positive behavior/interactions. Finally, we work with other service agencies to collaborate and coordinate services with other professionals who work with the individual.
