Applied behavior analysis (ABA) helps children acquire skills in language, self-help, and play while reducing or eliminating maladaptive behaviors such as aggression or self-injury. Based on careful assessment and scientific analysis of the behaviors of each individual child, the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) develops a person-centered behavior plan for each child. Following the behavior plan, the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works with the child in the home and community to support him or her in successfully implementing the components of the plan.
